About The Troop

Description

Troop 200 is Scout run, as well as a full uniform Troop. The Troop follows the BSA philosophy of letting the boys plan the activities for the year, as well as conduct the meetings and camp-outs. The boy leaders plan the annual calendar in October.

Meetings are held at Applewood Valley United Methodist Church 2035 Ellis Street, Golden Colorado on Monday Nights at 6:30 p.m.

Purpose

The main purpose of Boy Scouts is to have fun while giving the boys a real life laboratory to learn leadership skills and responsibilities through trial and error.

The function of the adult leaders is to clear away obstacles to implement and support the boys' program.

Troop Structure

The boys are organized into patrols of 4 to 8 scouts. Each patrol elects its patrol leader. The boys also elect a senior patrol leader, an assistant senior patrol leader, historian, quartermaster, guide, webmaster, and scribe.

These scouts run the troop. They are part of the Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) which meets monthly to organize meetings and events
